چکیده
This study proposes two approaches for improving the effectiveness of spatial modulation integrated into layer division multiplexing (SM-LDM) in broadcasting systems: biased-power allocation (Bi-PA) and shared antenna selection (SAS). Even though different data rates are employed SM-LDM systems, Bi-PA enhances bit error rate (BER) fairness across layers. The ideal power ratios adaptively determined by balancing signal-to-interference plus noise with a preference lower (LL) that involves higher order. SAS alleviates complexity successive interference cancellation spectral energy efficiencies. Both LL upper (UL) share decision transmit using single antenna. UL carries space shift keying signal while entire is allocated LL. We analyze efficiency SAS-based system finite alphabet inputs. Numerical results demonstrate advantages proposed approaches. Compared to pre-assigned-PA (Pre-PA), shows nearly identical BERs both layers solves floor problem. sharing property common transmission yield significant BER reduction relative conventional SM-LDM. It provides gains ranging from 7 15 dB at equal 10−3, performance ranges slight gain minor loss. Furthermore, techniques enhance achievable sum-rate low intermediate signal-to-noise ratio values. They can achieve an improvement up bits less than one −0.5 dB. These findings show have considerable impact on enhancing fairness, performance, feasible making them promise broadcast designs.

Power Allocation for Dual Transmit Antenna Spatial Multiplexing Systems
In this paper, power allocation schemes for dual transmit multiple receive antenna communications is proposed and analyzed. Minimum error rate power allocation for a number of equalization schemes are proposed, including zero-forcing (ZF), successive interference cancellation (SIC) and ordered SIC (OSIC). It is shown both analytically and by numerical simulations that the proposed schemes impro...
متن کاملStatistical antenna selection for spatial multiplexing systems
Spatial multiplexing is a signaling strategy for achieving high spectral efficiencies in communication links that employ multiple transmit and multiple receive antennas. In such systems it will be desirable to use only a subset of the available transmit and/or receive antennas to reduce cost and complexity. In this paper we address the problem of optimal antenna subset selection in spatial mult...

Due to the increase of users the efficient usage of spectrum plays an important role in digital terrestrial television networks. In digital video broadcasting, local and global content are transmitted by single frequency network and multifrequency network respectively. Multifrequency network support transmission of global content and it consumes large spectrum. Similarly local content are well ...

This paper applies transmit antenna selection algorithms to spatial-temporal combining-based spatial multiplexing (SM) ultrawideband (UWB) systems. The employed criterion is based on the largest minimum output signal-to-noise ratio of the multiplexed streams. It is shown via simulations that the bit error rate (BER) performance of the SM UWB systems based on the two-dimensional Rake receiver is...
متن کاملA cross-layer resource allocation scheme for spatial multiplexing-based MIMO-OFDMA systems
We investigate the resource allocation problem for the downlink of a multiple-input multiple-output orthogonal frequency division multiple access (MIMO-OFDMA) system. The sum rate maximization itself cannot cope with fairness among users. Hence, we address this problem in the context of the utility-based resource allocation presented in earlier papers. This resource allocation method allows to ...
